Angola Housing Finance Media Review 2014-2015

This media review is based on extracts from the Angolan press over the 2014-2015 period pertaining to social issues and development. This document was compiled by Development Workshop Angola.

The document discusses four main topics;

• The development of 18 centralities or state financed new-town housing – which is one of four approaches to housing in Angola – under construction,
• Failures in social services and infrastructure in the Centralidades been completed and inhabited
• The transfer of responsibilities of real estate projects of the Centralidades of SONIP (an Angolan State Oil Company) for Imogestin (Angolan semi-private housing management company),
• Alternative strategies to social housing.
