CAHF, NMRC hold workshop to promote the need for accurate data in affordable housing in Nigeria

A strategic workshop on housing data was jointly organized by the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company ( NMRC ) and the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) on the 4th of February in Abuja. The workshop served as a platform to engage on a data-led approach to unlocking investment opportunities along Nigeria’s housing value chain.  The  presentations emphasised the need for  accurate data gathering, processing and application to address the challenges facing Nigeria’s housing sector.

CAHF is pursuing the Data Agenda for Africa with our partner, 71point4. In Nigeria, our partnership is with the Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC) . The objective of the Data Agenda is to catalyse the provision and dissemination of this data and to support the development of a community of in-country housing and housing finance practitioners who promote the importance of accurate data and who actively engage with data to generate relevant insights.
