Comments on the South African Property Practitioners Bill

The Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements in South Africa (a committee of Parliament) held a Stakeholder Engagement on the Property Practitioners Bill [B 21-2018] at which CAHF offered comments.  This presentation sets out the experiences of the Transaction Support Centre as they relate to the Bill.  The presentation offers comments on consumer protection and the role of the proposed Ombud, applying the transformation objective to the informal sector, the definition and obligations of property practitioners, and monitoring and reporting.
