Housing Development Cost Benchmark Report for Kenya 2022

On May 17th 2023, the Open Access Initiative Program Manager, presented the Housing Development Cost Benchmark Report for Kenya, at the Housing Forum session, during the East Africa Property Investment Summit, held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Housing Development Cost Benchmarking (HDCB) Report, as conducted by the Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) is an analytic tool that unpacks the typical total development cost of various types of affordable housing products. This analysis aims to improve stakeholders’ awareness and understanding of real development cost and the critical cost drivers in the affordable housing development process and enables them to explore strategies and actions to mitigate (or leverage) the effects of these in favour of enhancing affordability.
