Housing Finance in Botswana: Challenges for Servicing the Low Income Market (Session Notes)

The purpose of the workshop was to identify key issues affecting access by the poor to affordable housing finance. The workshop was also tasked with identifying areas requiring further research with a view to finding areas of opportunity for CAHF to support developments in housing finance in Botswana. The discussions were preceded by a summary presentation by local consultant Lex von Rudloff, of his report “Overview of the housing finance sector in Botswana”, a report commissioned by CAHF, which forms part of the “Access to Housing Finance In Africa: Exploring the Issues” series.
