Job Opening: Accountant

Housing finance is an important and growing sector in Africa, with unexplored opportunities, ripe for attention. CAHF has been working in this field for the past nine years, providing high quality, well-respected market analytics to stimulate investment in affordable housing. We are looking for an Accountant to join our team.

Are we looking for you? You need to be a good budgeting, financial reporting and financial systems professional. You’ll be a self-starter, independent, but able to work as part of a close-knit team working on a daily basis with our Accounts and Projects Support Officer and our Chief Operations Officer.

You’ll have a minimum of 5 years financial management experience behind you, of which at least 2 years has been working with multi-donor funds and grants. Your core skills and experience will be in budgeting and drafting financial plans, oversight of capturing on the accounting system and generating reconciliations, financial reporting against budgets and multiple funding contracts, and managing audit processes including attendance to corrective actions.

You’ll have a qualification in professional accounting or finance (NQF 7) and hold membership of SAIPA/SAICA (or similar). You will be a finance professional with acute attention to detail.
