Overview of the Housing Finance Sector in Zambia

This report provides an overview of Zambia’s housing finance sector.  It is the 1^st  report in a series exploring access to housing finance across Africa, with a particular emphasis on how poor and low-moderate income households finance their housing. This report provides an overview of Zambia’s macro-economy as it relates to housing finance, the legal and policy framework for housing and housing finance, the housing supply and demand factors at play, and how housing finance fits into this space.  The report concludes with some recommendations.
