Benin housing finance sector study (English edition)

This report provides an overview of Benin’s housing finance sector study.  It is the 13th report in a series of studies considering the housing finance sectors in various African countries.  The paper provides an overview of Benin’s macro economy, policy and regulatory framework, and then explores the dynamics of housing demand and supply, and the provision of housing finance.  Future challenges for access to housing finance in Benin are outlined and conclusions and recommendations are offered.  This study was co-funded by the African Union for Housing Finance.
