HOUSING MICROFINANCE WORKSHOP – WEST AFRICA 2012

A housing microfinance workshop was held in Accra, Ghana from the 25^th to the 27^th of April 2012, by Anthill Bees Limited. The need for affordable housing in Africa is instrumental to the well being of many poor people who have been left out by formal institutions. Government and microfinance institutions have been able to reach only a fraction of those that need housing, as such there is a need to equip various stakeholders within the sector with the necessary skills and understanding.  The workshop sought to address housing solutions by bringing these various stakeholders together onto a platform were ideas can be exchanged. This report looks at the outcome from that workshop.
