Barbara Hewson is the Director of Urban Finance at UN-Habitat, responsible for the ERSO Revolving Loan Program, an affordable housing and basic services finance initiative lending to municipalities, local banks and microfinance institutions in developing countries; and the Slum Upgrading Facility, a grant based guarantee program working to promote public-private partnership investment in community led neighbourhood improvement projects in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
